Who We Are
Rugged Cross Radio is the streaming media ministry of Righteous Law, a faith-based 508(c)(1)(A) religious organization. Our mailing address is 3409 McDougall Avenue, Everett WA 98201, Suite 202.
This Privacy Policy covers both our website (ruggedcrossradio.com) and the Rugged Cross Radio mobile application.
What We Collect
When you interact with Rugged Cross Radio, we may collect the following information:
- Name — when you sign up as an Insider, submit a dedication, sponsor an hour, or make a gift
- Email address — for order confirmations, scheduling updates, and ministry communications
- Phone number — if you opt in to receive text message notifications
- Donation information — gift amounts and types (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers)
- IP address and location — for basic analytics to understand where our listeners are located around the world
- Browser and device information — for analytics and to improve site performance
- Voice & audio recordings — if you choose to send a voice message, the app accesses your microphone only while you are actively recording. Recordings are stored temporarily, may be played on air only with your permission, and are deleted on request.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Send order confirmations and scheduling notifications for sponsorships and dedications
- Deliver Insider communications including prayer updates, ministry news, and encouragement
- Send Bible reading plans if you request one
- Provide annual giving statements for tax purposes
- Understand our global reach and improve our service
- Respond to your questions, prayer requests, and feedback
We Never Sell Your Data
Your personal information is never sold, rented, or traded to any third party. Period. Your trust matters to us, and we treat your information as sacred.
We may share information only with service providers who help us operate (such as Stripe for payments and Twilio for text notifications), and only as needed to fulfill your requests.
Cookies and Analytics
Rugged Cross Radio uses basic server-side analytics to track page views and understand how visitors use the site. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or retargeting pixels.
We may use cookies only to remember your session if you are logged in to an admin area.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in every message
- Stop text messages by replying STOP to any text we send
- Request your data — contact us and we will provide all information we have on file
- Request deletion — contact us and we will delete your personal data from our systems
SMS / Text Message Policy
Rugged Cross Radio offers optional SMS text message notifications to keep you informed about your dedications and sponsorships.
- Opt-in: You consent to receive SMS messages by providing your phone number and checking the opt-in box on our booking form at ruggedcrossradio.com.
- Message types: Transactional notifications only — confirmation that your dedication or sponsorship has been approved, and notification when it has aired.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You will typically receive 2-3 messages per dedication or sponsorship submitted.
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts.
- Help: Reply HELP for assistance or contact us at matt@righteousnetwork.com.
- Data sharing: We will never sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
Microphone Access
The Rugged Cross Radio mobile app requests microphone access for one reason only: so you can record and send an optional voice message to the station. Your microphone is never accessed in the background, and nothing is ever recorded unless you actively tap to record a message. If you do not wish to send voice messages, you may decline the permission and continue to use every other feature of the app.
Children’s Privacy
Rugged Cross Radio is a general-audience service and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact matt@righteousnetwork.com and we will promptly delete it.
Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time. Email matt@righteousnetwork.com with the subject line “Delete My Data” and include the name, email, or phone number associated with your information. We will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days of your request.
